Just print out a picture of what you want and show it to the stylist.

i dont know but i know that those cuts look horrible my suggestion dont get the emo cut

just bring a picture of what you want. you can also ask for chopy hair with layers everywhere. and of course the side swept bangs. hopefully this somewhat helps.

Uhm. well lol i'm trying to get the same thing. They are called scene but the hairstylest wont know what that is. Say you want it mod. Get sodeswept bangs and short blakc layered hair. LOVE emo hair cuts!! i have one! and its edgy and unique and i think that it is a GREAT style!! and i just say i want a really edgy cut.. and then i wwould show them a pic:)

When I told the person who cuts my hair to do that , they did it all wrong , I would say bring in a picture of someones hair you like and tell them how you want it if you don't want it exactly like the picture. Or start cutting your own hair , because that's what I did , and it worked out a lot better. You could also ask to get tons of short choppy layers on the top of your head , and then have none towards the bottom , most scene hair cuts consist of extensions though, so they usually just get the majority of their hair cut into short choppy layers and have thin little peices coming down to blend into the extensions(:
