Well it's called scene hair. Emo is a genre of music. Scene is the style. And a lot of girls have scene hair. I like it (: It's bold and cute.

Its really in right now.

I just got a emo/scene cut that was really mild.

Kinda like Ashlee Simpson's hair now.

its going to be "in" for a while
people arent going to dye their hair, pay $100 for a cut, and spend all their allowance at sanrio for nothing.

emo was never in style, as you said, except in the emo community.
emo is (supposed to be) about being induvidual and emotional, if you go by the style standards and overlook the fact that the scene is actually about music and actions.
if you like the look that you described because you like it, go for it. if you like it because you want to fit in with the emo kids, dont do it.
is up to you whether it is in style for you or not.

it's looks really cool if u actually have the hair for it, it looks really cute also, but then it kinda make me thing of it as hard to take care of cuz idk it look the layers is all over the place, idk but i have to admit some girls look really good with it, and if u go to places in Asia ppl have those hair styles, and it doesn't consider scene or anything it just a regular day hair style
