I would show her the picture and tell her you want something like that. If she's good she'll know what will look good on you.

tell her your want a few short layers at the top
and the bottom layers to be the length you have now

tell her you want it to stay long but make short choppy layers and have her razor it too. also make sure that you know how to tease your hair to get the puffyness at the top of your head..if you want youtube has some great videos showing you how to do that.

find a beter pic of emo hair...and bring it there and ask them to cut it like that....tell them "this is the style i want".
here i found a better clearer bigger pic... tell them what u want adjusted outa the photos...like u want the longest part longer, or all one color...u know..
