My school is having a 'Flashback Day' were we dress like we are from the 70's 80's, etc. I want to be an 80s punk rocker for that day. Since i was born in the 90's, can somebody tell me about how they dress and how they act? Also, how can i make my clothes and makeup 80s punk? And how can i do it using as LITTLE money as possible?

Steps

1. Clothes. make them yourself or alter bought clothing to make them your own. Search for sites with 80's Punk fashion for insperation.
2. Hair. Make your hair what you want it to be. Usually people went for Mohawks and bright colours, usually red, orange, black and green. You can do anything with your hair and for good styles look up for Punk styles.
3. Attitude. Be yourself, Don't give to charities which you do not believe in. Be anti-authority, but respect opinions even though you don't care. express your opinion, but be reasonable.
4. Music. Listen to 80's punk like Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Subhumans, Circle Jerks, Sex Pistols ect. Once you get into these bands you might find out about lots of others.
5. Ambition. Find a dream- music, movies, or books- and follow it. Do what YOU want to do, but be very responsible!

* Don't make it obvious that you are trying to be this way, no one likes a poseur.

Dye your hair with an environmentally safe dye, or stick with your natural color. Manic Panic is a very ethical dye so you might want to try it. Tie up your hair often.
4. Wear earth tones, such as orange, brown, and green; black is all right as well. Don't wear clothes that are too tight, or clothes that are made from animal products.

6. Listen to punk music like "Bad Religion","NOFX","The Sex Pistols","Anti-Flag","Chaos UK".
7. Try becoming a vegetarian or a vegan. A vegetarian eats no meat, while a vegan doesn't use any animal products. That means no fur coats, meat, milk, or eggs. If this is too much for you, try simply eating organic meat and free-range poultry.
8. Clean up your area.
* If you live near the beach, you can take advantage of that and clean it with some friends every week.
* If you live near the woods, spend time there and soak up nature. You can even start a camping club!
9. Throw weekly picnics. Invite other earthy punks and put on some music!
10. Spread the word. Talk about nature and how people are abusing it. Encourage other people to join you in your earthy punk lifestyle.

* Protest on behalf of the earth.
* Use a bike instead a car, or carpool with someone.

Off the shoulder tops-cut out yourself or bought were popular, leggings, legwarmers, ripped jeans, jean jackets, hot pink make up, and HUGE hair, plastic jewelry, etc. Thinking colors it was mostly neons as well.

Also, Sex Pistols are 70s. They disbanded before 1980.

It should be easy to find pictures of punk rockers from the 80s. Just run a search and try to recreate the one that looks cheapest and easiest.

the answer to becoming an 80s punk rock girl are
1. some leggings(black, neon colors) or fishnets
2. skirt- any kind is good
3. oversized sweatshirt without a hood or scoop neck shirt that u can drape over one shoulder
4. converse, flats, or keds
5. lots and lots of jewlery
preferably plastic, very very colorful and uniquely shaped
6. hair- tease as big as possible, most importantly the top bang area, not so much the back. .and tie on the side of your head.
7. makeup- blue eyeshadow, pink blush, and neon pink lipstick
