Im 18 and I was wondering if there is any place in chicago that metal/punk rock people hang out.

Milwaukee

The corner of Clark and Belmont. There is a Dunkin Donuts there that is a famous hang out for the "alternative" crowd, especially in the summer. In fact, it's known by some as "Punkin Donuts" because of the punk crowd that hangs out there.

Other than that, try The Alley, a punk metal clothing store right near Dunkin Donuts; the Pick Me Up Cafe further down the street on Clark and sometimes they hang out at the Diversey River Bowl.

Or you can also try the coffee shop next to the Logan Square Auditorium. Some bands play at the auditorium, but when they're not, the coffee shop is filled with "metal/punk rock people."
