Hey, you are not alone, me too. I like all types of music but I listen to punk/rock, Green Day, Staind, Evanescence, FlyLeaf, the Noisettes, the Doors, Bjork(kinda like rock sorta), Nine inch nails, System of a Down etc.

-I like some rock music; heavy metal not too much but I don't divide rock into different categories when I listen to it

I don't like heavy metal but i like Buckcherry,Linkin Park and a lot of other rock music.It's good music.And YES! My mom looks at me like i'm crazy when i listen to it! She's the one who's weird though.Some people are too ignorant and narrow-minded.

im not black, but i do like bands like the dead kennedys, black flag, anti flag, the sex pistols, the ramones, the exploited, minor threat, stiff little fingers, the casualties, the unseen, nofx, social distortion etc.

lol none of my black friends like that music either. but i wouldnt say its abnormal. you like what you like.

I like some metal... Disturbed, Godsmack, Korn etc but not into the REALLY REALLY heavy dark metal. I think they make weird animal-like noises in those lol.
