Ok. So I already wear a lot of black and they know it's my fav color (my parents know its my fav color and it is) and i listen to gothic rock and everything but they dont know that part. My mom is letting me get blue streaks in my hair but she wont let me dye it black and she wont let me hav anything with skulls on it even though i think skulls are cute and she wont let me hav anything resembeling death or my fav rock bands. how do i be the goth girl i wanna be without stepping out of the boundaries or having them notice?
(PS: I DONT WANT TO GIVE THE IDEA THAT IM A POSER, WHAT I MEAN IS I WANT TO DRESS THE WAY I WANT TO AND HAVE MY OWN LOOK THE WAY I WANT TO!)

umm... wow all i cud say is give ur parents time and talk to them... eventually they will let u do these things... im 14 now and wen i was 12 i was really into rock,screamo,ect and i couldnt show it cuz my parents were strict...but after i got older i talked to my parents and they kinda understood but then again.. they were hesitant
So little by little i did my own things went out partied n stuff not too much cuz im still young.. but now i hav my hair dyed the colors i want i pierced my lip..(behind my parents bak) but i told them if they make me take it out i'll get snakebites.. :D
lol and i play drums n do all the things i want n i cudnt be hapier talk to ur parents.. and give them time!

Hey. I know how hard it is. So don't let those other posts get to you. You have to kinda go by your parents rules or they will make your life miserable. The grunge scene was real big when I was a teen. My parents wouldn't let me dye my hair, rip my clothes, or wear black lipstick. Being very religious I couldn't have any piercings. What I would do is go to a thrift store and get my clothes like I wanted. I'd have my makeup in my car and purse. I'd stop at a gas station on the way to school and change. I'd do my make up in the car. Then I'd change back to their little princess before I got home. You're not a poser. I think you're cool and smart! Hang in there. It gets easier when you become an adult.
